U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Manny, the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego (MCRD) mascot, oversees recruits with Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion while they conduct Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) training at MCRD, Oct. 25, 2021. Manny toured the depot ensuring that training was conducted as usual and kept an eye on the training companies. MCMAP is a combat system developed by the United States Marine Corps to combine existing and new hand-to-hand and close quarters combat techniques with morale and team-building functions and instruction in the warrior ethos.
