A U.S. Army Soldier from the 720th Military Police Battalion, from Fort Hood, Texas, receives 600 care packages from Operation Gratitude to distribute to Soldiers working for Task Force McCoy at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Oct. 25, 2021. The care packages were distributed to the 720th Military Police Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas, as a way to thank Soldiers for their work during the mission. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
