U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Heath A. Gomez, company commander of Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, is presented a French Fourragere during a ceremony on Fort Pickett, Virginia, Oct. 20, 2021. The French Fourragere was originally awarded by the French government to members of the 5th and 6th Marine Regiments for their heroic actions at the Battle of Belleau Wood during World War I.
