Shane Linder, continues the “Makahiki” tradition by carrying the “Lono” forward on its journey, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Oct. 19, 2021. “Makahiki” is the Hawaiian new year and season of peace, which incorporates the carrying of the “Lono”, starting at Makapu Peninsula, home of MCBH.
