Members of the Naval Oceanography Operations Command take part in a service project to clean up the USS Biloxi Memorial in Biloxi, MS. This was one of several service projects conducted in the area at the end of a week-long celebration of the U.S. Navy’s 246th birthday. Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
