U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment board a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 361, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, while conducting a ground extraction at Landing Zone Sandhill during the Regimental Air Assault Course (RAAC) at Twentynine Palms California, Oct. 18, 2021. The RAAC is conducted to train Marine Regiments in Air Assault Task Force (AATF) operations, for the purposes of seizing an objective, and conduct a dismounted defense in an enemy mechanized environment.
