EAST CHINA SEA (Oct. 13, 2021) Hull Technician Fireman Jared Shacklett, from Rohnert Park, Calif., uses a Naval Firefighting Thermal Imager (NFTI) to look for simulated hot spots during a general quarters drill aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105). Dewey is assigned to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 71/Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy’s largest forward-deployed DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal surface force.
