Indian Army Col. Vinay Reddy and U.S. Army Lt. Col. John Campbell discuss the Indian Army-led interfaith ceremony occurring as part of exercise Yudh Abhyas 21, October 17, 2021, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The ceremony incorporated Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, and Christian traditions, recognizing the multicultural nature of India. For U.S. troops, it was a unique introduction to Indian culture and a bonding moment between the Soldiers. YA21 is a bilateral training exercise aimed at improving the combined interoperability of the Indian and U.S. Army to increase partner capacity for conventional, complex, and future contingencies throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
