Retired Col. Elmar Rosenauer prepares to present the Commander’s Medal of the Feldmarschall Radetzky fellowship to awardees at the 76th Anniversary of the Return of the Lipizzaner Horses by the 2nd Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army in St. Martin i. Innkreis, Austria, Oct. 7, 2021. A plaque was unveiled honoring Gen. Patton, Col. Reed and the 2nd Cavalry Regiment for rescuing the horses at the end of WWII.
