The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra plays music for Afghan guests Oct. 12, 2021 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The orchestra brought a small horn section and string section to play music from Afghanistan. The Secretary of Defense has approved the Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, to provide to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) temporary housing, sustainment, and support inside the United States for Afghan personnel. DoD will provide support for at least 50,000 individuals at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
