Schofield Barracks, HI — Lightning Academy hosted the “Best Squad Competition” for the 25th Infantry Division during Tropic Lightning Week on October 04, 2021 at East Range Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Battalions from within the Division nominated their best six Soldier squad to compete in the 25th Infantry Division Best Squad Competition. The competition consisted of 6 graded tasks, evaluated at Camp Lightning, followed by a 10 mile ruck march and Stress Shoot.
This year's Tropic Lightning Week marks the 80th anniversary of the Division and is a week-long occurrence comprised of competitive events taking place between battalions throughout the Division. In addition to a sports competition, the Division will host a State of the Division, Best Squad Competition, Light Fighter Cook-Off, Tropic Lightning Got Talent as well as the Guadalcanal Cup presentation.
