U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Sawyer Simons, a joint terminal attack controller and U.S. Army Pfc. Cody Malone, a forward observer, 3rd Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment adjust their approach after calling for fire in Klaipeda, Lithuania on Sept. 30. Service members were able to participate in calling for fire during both the day and night, utilizing illuminating rounds to visualize target approach. Education and experimentation with training at sea optimize lethality and prepare service members for various domains. US Army soldiers working with both NATO partners and other U.S. branches provide interoperability for the force as a whole. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Joshua Thorne)
