ARTA, Djibouti (Sept. 28, 2021) U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Justin Bell and Staff Sgt. Todd Wheelock, both attached to Task Force Iron Gray (TFIG), Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA), prepare to place a linear strip charge on a door at the Djibouti Range Complex in Arta, Djibouti Sept. 28, 2021. TFIG and the Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) conducted live-fire dynamic entry training in order to sustain explosive breaching skills. Bell and Wheelock are currently stationed at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ), which serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia. CLDJ enables maritime and combat operations in the Horn of Africa while fostering positive U.S.-Africa relations.
