From left, Michael Triozzi, with the Department of State's religious, cultural and spiritual affairs section, and U.S. Army Capt. Jamal Bey, a Muslim Imam and an Army chaplain with the 720th Military Police Battalion, Task Force McCoy, move donated Qurans to prayer centers to give to Afghan evacuees at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, as part of Operation Allies Welcome, Sept. 21, 2021. The Qurans were donated by the Islamic Society of Milwaukee for Afghan evacuees to use. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible. This initiative provides Afghan personnel essential support at secure locations outside Afghanistan. (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Zach Mott/Task Force McCoy)
