U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Branon Edwards, assigned to the 27th Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron, sets up a POW/MIA memorial at the Cannon Fitness Center track on Cannon Air Force Base, NM., Sept. 17, 2021. Multiple flags were placed with accompanying boots and biographies of POW/MIA service members in honor of POW/MIA Remembrance Day. The purpose of POW/MIA Recognition Day is to ensure that America remembers service members who never made it home, and ensures the nation does everything it can to honor their sacrifice.
