A U.S. Air Force Airman assigned to the 86th Dental Squadron administers the Mumps, Measles and Rubella, and Chickenpox vaccines to a child evacuee awaiting onward travel at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Sept. 18, 2021. Medical professionals at Ramstein and Rhine Ordnance Barracks administered varicella and MMR vaccines to more than 3,000 evacuees on the first day of mass vaccinations. The vaccinations began out of an abundance of caution and at the request of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure the health and safety of the evacuees and local communities.
