Lt. Col. Petr Manda, who is assigned to the 221 LtBVr UAV Battalion, 533rd UAS battalion with the Czech Ground Forces and Ample Strike Exercise Director Col. Aleš Cápal ask a MQ-9 crew member questions about MQ-9 operations and flight procedures at Námět nad Oslavou Airport, Czech Republic, during Ample Strike 2021, Sep. 13, 2021. This is the first time the MQ-9 has flown in the Czech Republic, and during the exercise the crew facilitates integration with Joint Terminal Attack Controllers from different countries in order to enhance their communication with unmanned aircraft. The exercise provides increased proficiency levels in NATO standardization and interoperability of close air support, air land integration, and aerial refueling for JTACs and aircrews. A key pillar of our overall deterrence approach is a campaign of high-end, all domain exercises, which builds readiness and enhances operational capability. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech.
