Custom Plexiglass panes built by the Mat Sinking Unit’s (MSU) carpentry shop divide tables in the galley as a COVID-19 safety measure on Sept. 14, 2021 while the floating plant prepares to depart Vicksburg, Mississippi for its revetment mission on the Mississippi River. This was part of the enhanced COVID-19 protocol designed to ensure crew health. The MSU briefly paused revetment operations to implement enhanced COVID-19 safety precautions to help ensure the health of the nearly 300 crewmembers before continuing the mission.
