JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (Sept. 13, 2021) -- Friends and family of Sailors assigned to the Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Illinois (SSN 786) greet each other after the ship moored at the historic submarine piers at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam following a six-month Western Pacific deployment. Illinois performed a full spectrum of operations, including anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare, during the six-month, Indo-Pacific deployment.
