    A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III operated by the 204th Airlift Squadron, based out of Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, provides aerial drop of equipment and rescue package off the coast of Santa Cruz, Calif., Sept. 9, 2021. The training is part of an ongoing series of contingency exercises held between Hawaii Air National Guard’s 204th Airlift Squadron and California Air National Guard’s 131st Rescue Squadron to ensure that fallen astronauts will receive aid in the event of an unplanned landing, deep into the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans.
