CAMP LEMONNIER, Djibouti (September 11, 2021) Forward deployed military members assigned to Camp Lemonnier carry the United States flag as they participate in the 9/11 memorial 5K Run, Sept. 11, 2021. The run commemorates the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States that occurred Sept. 11, 2001. Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti (CLDJ) serves as an expeditionary base for U.S. military forces providing support to ships, aircraft and personnel that ensure security throughout Europe, Africa and Southwest Asia.
