210823-N-PG340-1007 OKINAWA, Japan (Aug. 23, 2021) Lt. Jeffrey Moy (right), Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s medical officer, administers battlefield auricular acupuncture (BFA) therapy to Cmdr. Andrew Olsen, NMCB-5’s commanding officer, onboard Camp Shields, Okinawa, Japan. NMCB-5 is the first U.S. Navy deployable command to perform BFA. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are deployed, supporting a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening our network of allies and partners and providing general engineering and civil support to joint operational forces. Homeported out of Port Hueneme, California, NMCB-5 has 10 detail sites deployed throughout the U.S. and Indo-Pacific area of operations.
