Joe Harder, Commanding Officer, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Europe Africa Central, receives an update on operations at the water treatment facility onboard Naval Support Activity Naples from Luca Guadagnuolo, Utilities and Energy Branch Head, Public Works Department (PWD) Naples during a site visit August 18. Accompanying Harder on the plant tour were (left to right) Utilitiesman 3rd Class Fubara Gomba-jiji, assigned to the plant; Matteo Di Gennaro, water treatment technician and Assistant Operator Responsible Charge; Chris Massari, Director, Production Division; Guadagnuolo and Vincenzo Contreras, Operator Responsible Charge. NAVFAC EURAFCENT plans, builds, leases and sustains facilities and provides essential base operating services and capabilities in the Europe, Africa, and Central Command theaters that enable U.S., allied and partner nation forces to meet national defense objectives.
