HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. – Joint Task Force - Haiti command and control element arrived in Haiti on a C-130 aircraft from Homestead Air Reserve Base in support of disaster relief operations, Aug. 17. The nation of Haiti suffered a 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Aug. 14 and requested humanitarian support from the international community. Rear Adm. Keith Davids is the commander of JTF-Haiti and Special Operations Command South Command.
