A KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft assigned to MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, receives its first ever hot-pit refueling at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, June 1, 2021. Hot-pit refueling allows the refueling of an aircraft to take place while at least one engine remains running to reduce generation time.
