    210808-N-XB010-1001 WEST CAROLINE BASIN (Aug. 3, 2021) USS New Orleans (LPD 18) approaches JS Makinami (DD-122), HMAS Ballarat (FFH 115), and HMAS Canberra (L02) to render honors at the conclusion of a large-scale global exercise. New Orleans, part of the America Expeditionary Strike Group, along with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
