Gen. Michael Garrett, commanding general of U.S. Army Forces Command, gives a speech on realistic training while visiting with U.S. Army Reserve medical units during Combat Support Training Exercise at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, Aug. 10, 2021.

“We exist to fight and win our nation's wars. That's it. That's why we exist.”

Garrett said, we have a strong noncommissioned officer corps that every country in the world has tried to imitate, but they can't do it. And the reason they can't do it is because of the second largest strength that we have. And that's the diversity of our force. This is diversity, diversity of thinking, diversity of culture. This is a strategic asset. And a strategic asset is important. (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Spc. Salome Denoon)
