Marines and sailors volunteered with the Golden Gate National Parks to help protect sensitive natural habitat, sustain and improve trail systems, and preserve important cultural resources. More than 800 Marines and sailors from 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade, Combat Logistics Regiment 1 and the 13th MEU will participate in the annual event from Oct. 3-8 and will showcase humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities to the Bay Area.
