Staff Sergeant Amanda Carpenter, 579th Inland Cargo Transfer Company, U.S. Army Reserves, takes practice swings July 23 at Fort Campbell. Tryouts for the All-Army softball team started July 22 and will continue through Aug. 2 when coaching staff make the final cut. This is the first time Fort Campbell has hosted the Armed Forces Women’s Softball Championship. The tournament takes place Aug. 9-14 at the South Sports Complex.
