The vessel displays the distinctive USCG diagonal red stripe on its bow and is equipped with extensive communications and radar equipment atop its superstructure.     USCGC Escanaba (WMEC 907) transits in the Atlantic Ocean on July 27, 2021, en route to Operation Nanook. Escanaba is a 270-foot Famous-class cutter with a crew of around 100 conducting many of the service's missions with an emphasis on law enforcement and security.
