210721-N-N0146-1001 ARABIAN GULF (July 21, 2021) – Royal Navy and U.S. Navy Sailors operate a rigid hull inflatable boat with Coast Guard patrol boat USCGC Maui (WPB 1304) during a multilateral air operations in support of maritime surface warfare (AOMSW) exercise in the Arabian Gulf, July 21. Maui is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
