Sergeants Major of U.S Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) carry a litter as part of the Air Assault obstacle course during the validation portion of the MEDCOM best leader competition, July 21, 2021, at Schofield barracks, Hawaii. The Best Leader Competition is designed to promote “Esprit De Corps” throughout the Army while recognizing Soldiers and NCOs that demonstrate commitment to the Army values and embody the Warrior Ethos. The MEDCOM Sergeants Major certified all of the lanes in advance of the competition. Certification involved them completing the grueling lanes themselves. The competition, which will include Soldiers from all four of the Army's regional health commands, will take place July 25-30, 2021 on and around Schofield Barracks. (U.S. Army photo by Cpl.
