210720-N-NT795-749 SAN DIEGO (July 20, 2021) Chief Warrant Officer 5 Christopher Bruce-Ross, team lead of Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV), inspects a 34-foot Sea Ark patrol boat during Maritime Expeditionary Security Group (MESG) 1’s INSURV onboard Naval Amphibious Base Coronado. The primary mission of MESF is to conduct maritime security operations across all phases of military operations by defending high value assets, critical maritime infrastructure, ports, and harbors both inland and on coastal waterways against enemies and when commanded conduct offensive combat operations.
