210716-N-JW440-1059 GULF OF OMAN (July 16, 2021) – Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Jonathan Winfield fires a shot line from guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) during a replenishment-at-sea with Military Sealift Command dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Cesar Chavez (T-AKE 14) in the Gulf of Oman, July 16. Shiloh is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
