210716-N-WQ732-1059 ARABIAN SEA (July 16, 2021) – An MH-60R Seahawk, attached to the “Swamp Foxes” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 74, takes off from the flight deck of guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61) during flight operations in the Arabian Sea, July 16. Monterey is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
