Airmen assigned to the 93rd Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron exit a KC-135 Stratotanker at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, July 15, 2021. The 93rd EARS provides sustained aerial refueling capability to allied and coalition partner aircraft in support of U.S. Central Command requirements. Given Incirlik AB’s strategic location, the 39th Air Base Wing serves not only to defend NATO’s southern flank within the U.S. European Command area of responsibility but also helps enable operations in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility.
