YOKOSUKA, Japan (July 1, 2021) – Seaman Fabien Sagna, from Dakar, Senegal, assigned to U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), acts as a threat for Sailors to conduct strike maneuvers after being sprayed with oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray during Security Reaction Force Basic (SRF-B) training on Purdy Field at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, July 1, 2021 . During the two-week long course, Sailors learn weapons handling, self-defense and hand-to-hand combat skills necessary to deal with hostile threats and maintain mission security. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
