Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph E. Shelley, command sergeant major, 18th Military Police Brigade, Mannheim Germany, extends his gratitude to Spc. Jesse Ordunez, military policeman, 617th MP Company, Richmond, Ky., during an awards ceremony at Camp Liberty, Iraq, June 16, 2005. Ordunez was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with (V) device at the ceremony for his actions on March 20, 2005, where he and fellow Soldiers of the 617th thwarted an ambush by more than 30 anti-Iraqi forces.
