A condolence letter from former President Barack Obama to Mr. Curtis Lindskog rests in the glass display case memorial, inside Spc. Jameson L. Lindskog U.S. Army Reserve Center after a memorialization ceremony June 29, 2021 at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin, Calif. Lindskog, a resident of Pleasanton, Calif., was killed in action March 29, 2011 while serving as a combat medic with the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan. He posthumously received the Silver Star for his heroic actions that day.
