A squad made up of U.S. personnel and participating allied nations conduct a foot patrol during Tradewinds 2021, Camp Seweyo, Co-operative Republic of Guyana, June 22. U.S. Army Soldiers with The Florida Army National Guard’s (FLARNG) 2nd Battalion, 54th Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB), 7th Special Forces Group (7th SFG), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) advised international troops throughout the patrol as part of the culminating events of Tradewinds. Members of the Guyana Defence Force joined Jamaica Defence Force troops as they patrolled through the jungle, identified hazards and engaged enemy forces to reach an objective. Tradewinds 2021 is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored Caribbean security-focused exercise in the ground, air, sea, and cyber domains, working with partner nations to conduct joint, combined, and interagency training focused on increasing regional cooperation and stability.
