Lt. Col. James P. Work, from Watsonville, Calif., and the commander of 3rd Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division spends a moment with his wife Mara, his son J.P., his daughter Sally and with Georgia Lillibridge, the wife of Col. R.J. Lillibridge, Commander of 3rd BCT, outside of Work's battalion headquarters building Sept. 12, 2012 before he departed for Afghanistan. The soldiers of 3rd BCT are highly trained, disciplined and fit for the brigade's sixth deployment since the Global War on Terrorism began.
