Two 448th Civil Affairs Battalion Team 1 members, Ismael Abdoulrahman, a team interpreter, and U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Morgan, team sergeant, pose with the Afar Forum Award that was presented to the team at the biennial Afar Forum conference, Aug. 30, 2012, in Brussels, Belgium. The award was given to Team 1 for its community partner efforts aimed at supporting the Afar people, one of the two main ethnic groups in Djibouti. Since the team's arrival three months ago they have partnered with the Afar people throughout 15 villages on 100 key leader engagements and 50 missions.
