    MARS Task Force veteran Charles Magaw and his daughter, Wendy Farrand, pose for a photo with the unveiled MARS Task Force memorial stone on Fort Bragg, N.C., Sept. 14. The Task Force played a key role in capturing the Burma Road from the Japanese during World War II and are often called "mulepackers" for the animals they used to carry supplies through the rugged Burma mountains.
