CINCU, Romania — Capt. Saif Vazquez, an operations section head with NATO LANDCOM currently serving as a U.S. Army Liaison Officer with Joint Force Center Naples, speaks with Capitán Juan Antonio Muñoz Paredes, an officer with Spain’s Bon Zamora I/29 unit, about the upcoming Joint Allied Power Demonstration Day, May 25, 2021. The Joint Allied Power Demonstration Day is part of Steadfast Defender 2021, the first exercise in a new series of long-planned NATO-led exercises to ensure that our forces are trained, able to operate together and ready to respond to any threat from any direction.
Steadfast Defender 2021 is associated to DEFENDER-Europe 21, a large-scale U.S. Army-led exercise designed to build readiness and interoperability between the U.S., NATO allies and partner militaries. This year, more than 28,000 multinational forces from 26 nations will conduct nearly simultaneous operations across more than 30 training areas in more than a dozen countries from the Baltics to the strategically important Balkans and Black Sea Region.
