JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. – A U.S. Army Intelligence Analyst assigned to 4th Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) aligns his compass to his map during the land navigation event on Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, May 20, 2021. The Best Warrior Competition was a week-long crucible that tested candidates on their military proficiency and physical stamina through a rifle and pistol qualification, land navigation, an obstacle course, an Army Combat Fitness Test as well as a road march.
