Brass casings from an M9 Beretta pistol lay on the ground as a result of Marines participating in combat pistol marksmanship training at Fort Pickett, Va., Sept. 13, 2012. The training focused on the fundamentals of drawing, assessing and firing at a paper target while wearing a full combat load. This training is part of the 26th MEU's pre-deployment training program. The 26th MEU is slated to deploy in 2013.
