U.S. Marines with Marine Air Support Squadron 3 (MASS-3), Marine Aircraft Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward), in support of Regimental Combat Team 6, lay the wire to a PTM-100, a portable communications tower on Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan Sept. 15, 2012. Marines used the tower to replace two Tactical Elevated Antenna Mast Systems due to its more stable structure.
