Army Sgt. Keith Archer, a medic assigned to the Pennsylvania Guard’s 108th Medical Company Area Support from Allentown, Pennsylvania, quickly retrieves medical gear from an improvised combat lifesaver’s (CLS) pouch during a mass casualty rehearsal involving gunshot victims at Forward Operating Site Powidz, Poland, on May 7, 2021. The brown pouch Keith wears on his gear, he received just a week prior as part of a care package delivery from the USO. The pouch originally contained hygiene articles, but Keith says it is the perfect size to repurpose as a CLS pouch for his mission as a medic.
