(April 20, 2021) Chief Machinist’s Mate Jeffrey Bealmear presents Hull Maintenance Technician 2nd Class Michael Modugno a letter of commendation in the Naval Submarine Base (SUBASE) New London Chaplain Center following a virtual ceremony in which Modugno was honored as Service Person of the Month (SPOM) by the Groton Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut. Modugno was honored for both his outstanding performance in his official duties and for volunteering off duty at the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge in Washington County, Rhode Island.
