Bruce Brown, firefighter with the Orange County Fire Authority, rings the bell for the "Final Alarm" during a 9-11 commemoration at the Richard Nixon Library and Museum in Orange County, Calif. Sept. 11. The Richard Nixon Foundation hosted a commemoration for the 11th anniversary remembrance of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 that claimed nearly 3,000 American lives. The event featured keynote remarks by Maj. Gen. Melvin Spiese, commanding general of I Marine Expeditionary Brigade. The event is Orange County's largest formal presentation hosted annually to commemorate the American lives lost that day.
